The Chamber of Real Estate and Builders’ Associations, Inc. (CREBA)
CREBA counts of being among the few organizations which have withstood the test of time. A witness to various stages in our history, CREBA has shared long years of struggle not only with government but its ranks and the organization itself—all of which contributed to what it is today, as the premier umbrella organization of the real estate industry.
As the guardian of the real estate sector, CREBA operates on the very crucial role of promoting the interest of the housing industry. Basic as it may sound, the responsibility calls for an incomparable and undaunting brand of vigilance, diplomacy and strategy, which CREBA has skillfully played to the hilt that made it earn the recognition of the government and respect of other organizations.
At present, CREBA has almost 4,500 members, including Manila Petroland, Inc. and is still counting more. For non-members, this primer is a modest effort for them to know CREBA and its pro-active and dynamic role as an effective partner of government in the real estate industry, and for CREBAns, an initial step to reorient them on this role and encourage them to take part in this responsibility.
If CREBA remains a byword in the real estate industry in the future, then this primer has served its purpose.
CREBA is the acronym for Chamber of Real Estate and Builders’ Associations, Inc., the umbrella organization of the real estate and housing industry. It is the single biggest organization of about 4,500 strong professionals and aggrupations, comprising the widest cross-section of the housing and real estate industry, namely, developers, brokers, appraisers, contractors, manufacturers, suppliers, engineers, architects, and others engaged in the shelter and real estate business.
Philippine Association of Realtors Board (PAREB)
